The Dusk

This reminds me of evenings at Bikaner.
All brown sand around with a very few trees in between.

GANESHA

When Anisha n Lamat opened Dreamland Cafe this year I thought of Ganesha for the Cafe.
May Ganesha bring 'Riddhi Siddhi' at the cafe.
Good lock for this season

The Lone Boat

Since my Sikkim trip, I couldn't spare time to paint anything. One day I came across this view while searching something on the net. There was an immediate craving for my sketchbook and colours, Tried to do justice to the Lone Boat.

Musicians

Musicians enjoying the flow of Music

Tungabhadra and Rolling Stones

We were the lucky ones to have stepped in to the Rolling Stones shack in Hampi island at the onset of the season. We were the first and the only guests at the shack. It had a beautiful sit-out at the bank of Tungabhadra.
It was a beautiful evening when we were relaxing after a tiring and exciting day in Hampi. It was an amazing experience sitting there and seeing tungabhadra flow peacefully; as if saying, I've been witnessing it all - the glorious past of Vijayanagar empire to the arrival of wanderers like you. The setting sun gave this view to my eyes. I could feel the moment passing by with every second of fading sunlight. Luckily, I had a pen and a sketchbook with me. Tried to capture the unstoppable Tungabhadra from the Rolling Stones Shack.

Red flowers

This is another special one. This was for Rubal. It was his birthday and I wanted to make it very special for him. I remember painting it while watching the Taj, Mumbai being attacked by terrorists on TV. State government had declared a holiday at colleges and I was at home. I started painting and saw the headlines on the screen. It couldn't be finished that day, but luckily I could complete it before Rubal's birthday and gift it.

Wine bottle

My cousin got this beautiful wine holder for me from Australia. But once the wine bottle got emptied (which happened very fast), the bottle holder couldn't be used. I had an idea...painted the bottle and filled it with water. Now the wine bottle holder is holding its beloved bottle for good.

Travelling with my brushes

The Holy lake in Yuksom (Sikkim)

It was a fresh clear day. We got up very early in the morning to have a view of Kanchendzonga. As we were strolling down the lane, my eyes could see but refreshing green all around. There was a beautiful lake in front with several budhist flags lining it as if trying to give a boundary to this holy lake. I tried to capture that moment and actually resigned to the shades of green that my eyes were capturing. Seems it is impossible to express what my eyes saw at that moment. This painting always reminds me of that beautiful morning.
